The mission of iReadIndies is to bring visibility, recognition, and support to independent authors who put their own time, effort, and resources into self-publishing quality sapphic literature.
iReadIndies is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in the United States. We began as a collective of independent authors of sapphic literature from an international community of self publishing sapphic literature authors. Our continuing vision is to bring more visibility, recognition, and support to any who put their time, effort, and resources into self-publishing their work.
Although the greater plan is still evolving, iReadIndies aims to become not only a community for self-published authors and a hub to connect indie authors and readers but also a resource center. Through methods like peer-to-peer mentoring, iReadIndies will work to support anyone who wants to try self-publishing. Help can range from encouraging new authors to improve their craft through recommending good editors, proofreaders, and cover designers, to assisting them in navigating the self-publishing process, to aiding new and established authors with marketing and the business of being an indie.
If you are an author who is currently publishing independently, has a self-published work available (or soon to be available) for purchase, and is interested in participating in this project, please don’t hesitate to apply.
